The Mandarin Learning Center at Chung Yuan Christian University was established in 2008, guided by the principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and committed to promoting sustainable education and global cooperation.
The center has four main objectives:
．We prioritize equal educational opportunities (SDG 4) when planning comprehensive and professional Mandarin learning courses. By providing high-quality educational content and teaching methods, we aim to ensure that more people, regardless of their nationality or background, have access to equal learning opportunities.
．When designing comprehensive and professional programs for teacher development, we focus on improving education quality and promoting effective learning (SDG 4). By nurturing excellent Chinese language teachers, we can deliver better teaching services, ensuring students receive high-quality Mandarin education and fostering their learning motivation.
．We are dedicated to promoting an inclusive and peaceful learning environment (SDG 16) by offering comprehensive language learning courses for international exchange students and foreign teachers at Chung Yuan Christian University. We encourage the exchange and respect of diverse cultures, allowing foreign students and teachers to experience an atmosphere of inclusiveness and peace while learning Mandarin, thus fostering friendships and mutual understanding.
．We collaborate with relevant institutions such as the Ministry of Education, Overseas Community Affairs Council, and World Chinese Language Education Association to provide Chinese language cooperation programs, aiming to promote global partnerships (SDG 17).
Through collaboration with these entities, we can share experiences, resources, and best practices, collectively driving the development of Mandarin learning and establishing cross-border cooperation networks to achieve sustainable development goal.
